Energy design is a new technical area that deals with optimizing energy consumption, internal comfort, sustainability and the environment of buildings. This discipline applies both to new constructions and to energy requalification interventions on existing buildings.
In new buildings, energy design aims to create adequate insulation to guarantee an energy performance compliant with the minimum parameters established by law, based on the shape, volume and climate zone of the building. Superior energy performance translates into a higher energy class, certified at the end of construction.
In energy requalification interventions, energy design has the aim of improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings, with economic, environmental and market advantages.
